Raina Mast

Raina Mast is a multimedia artist, educator, former high school/college basketball player, and musician based in San Francisco. Born in Philadelphia, she is the daughter of Eddie Mast, a former professional basketball player for the New York Knicks and Atlanta Hawks in the 1970s. Eddie earned accolades in the Eastern Professional Basketball League and was a coach in the Lehigh Valley basketball community before his passing in 1994.


Raina’s artistic journey spans ceramics, painting, and music. She creates handmade, functional, and sculptural pieces that emphasize beauty and joy in daily life. With a deep commitment to teaching and community engagement, Raina inspires others through her work. A passionate educator, she continues to connect with communities through her art, music, and teaching, leaving a lasting impact. And, she loves the Valkyries!

Vanessa Hutchinson-Szekely

Vanessa Hutchinson-Szekely is a proud San Francisco native, French-Californian, current PE teacher, and lifelong hoop head. Born and raised in SF, Vanessa played guard in high school (Hello Vikings MVP!) and now channels her love of the game into “Valkyries, Say Less”—a podcast she co-hosts celebrating the WNBA’s newest team and the community around it. 


A former high school basketball player turned educator and entrepreneur, she brings a unique mix of heart, humor, and local gab to every episode. 


Vanessa also runs Big Belly Breathing, where she creates vibrant, joy-driven mindfulness resources for kids, teens, and grown-ups alike. Whether she’s teaching PE, coaching breathwork, or talking Valkyries, she’s all about sparking joy, building connection, and repping her hometown with pride.
